Utah is our Red Bi colour keeper from our 2019 Forged in Silver Litter.  She is very typical of the old working lines I have long admired and is shows the same sensibilities.

Utah is very handler focused and a dedicated worker that wants to please, working for both food and toys, she has high play drive for tug and frisbee and retrieves to hand.  She is a very fast learner, in obedience and rally she works precisely and at a steady pace thinking things through, in agility she is all about speed, without losing control. She loves to run hard and has great natural agility and collection. She is calm and collected at training and trials and has a natural off switch when not working.

 

Utah began her trialling career late 2021 with three straight qualifying scores in both Rally Novice and Community Companion Dog classes. She gained both her titles with multiple first places and a perfect 100/100 in RN. In 2022 we have gone on to complete her Companion Dog title in style at the Victorian State Obedience trial gaining a first place and competing as the youngest dog on the day for the 2022 State Obedience Champion. We also gained her RA and RE titles with ease making for 5 Obedience and Rally titles in around 5 months of trialling! 2023 has seen us focusing on Agility in the first half of the year gaining our Jumping Dog Title,  placing 1st and 2nd against many of the states fastest Border Collies, following up with gaining our Rally Masters Title in the second half of the year in 5 straight trials!

At home Utah has a soft and sweet nature and enjoys to curling up in bed or have a cuddle in down time, she is the very definition of a Velcro Aussie. She is very loyal and trusting with her family, she is aloof with strangers, but recognises and happily greets those with whom she has made friends. Utah is calm around other dogs, great with children and just a delight with puppies. She has shown herself to be a calm, diligent and patient mother to her 11 puppies.
