Dakota was my first Aussie and introduced me to the fine art of Positive Reinforcement dog training. He was a sensitive soul, a typical aloof Aussie who did not take to the training methods of the day. He basically told me "I'm not playing this game." Well Im not one for giving up, so i bought a copy of Karen Priors Dont shoot the dog and converted from a correction chain to a clicker and treats. I've never looked back and have this proud boy to thank for his teachings. Dakota succesfully won the Most Versatile Aussie Award twice and picked up a Dog Challenge at the Royal Melbourne Show.

He was a beautiful soul, sharing his true silly self with only a select few at home, his favourite game was chase me and he loved a good roll on his back.
