Denver was our first dog we bred ourselves, she was my heart dog. Denver was a quiet and easy dog, she was our shadow and always had a smile for us. Unfortunately I began my Zoo Career when Denver was in her prime and training animals all day left me with little desire to train at home. Then came my children. Denver was a doting mum to them, often waiting at their cots side when they awoke.

Denver was very similar to her father in size, structure and temperament but had her mothers love of the ball! At age 13 she became ill and we could not find the cause, but i was not willing to give up on her, we eventually discovered thyroid cancer which was successfully removed and we spent another 2 years with our red dog, she was an amazingly patient Aunty to Phoenix and helped to teach her lots about the big world.
